RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT EXPENSES	NOTE 18 – RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT EXPENSES The total research and development expenses recognized in the income statements during the three-month and six-month periods ended June 30, 2012 were $62,526 and $105,324, respectively, of which the consumption of bromine produced by the Company amounted to $13,268 and $24,008, respectively. The total research and development expenses recognized in the income statements during the three-month and six-month periods ended June 30, 2011 were $133,519 and 313,856, respectively, of which the consumption of bromine produced by the Company amounted to $13,158 and $43,226, respectively.
