Deferred income taxes arise from the temporary differences between financial statement and income tax recognition of net operating losses and other items. Loss carryovers are limited under the Internal Revenue Code should a significant change in ownership occur.

At the year ended December 31, 2015 and the six month period ended June 30, 2016, the Company had approximately $9,778,871 and $9,081,267, respectively, in unused federal net operating loss carryforwards, which begin to expire principally in the year 2026. A deferred tax asset at each date of approximately $3,774,644 and $3,508,093 respectively resulting from the loss carry forwards has been offset by a 100% valuation allowance. The change in the valuation allowance for the periods ended June 30, 2016 and December 31, 2015 was approximately $266,551 and $843,206, respectively.
