Arctic Fish Holding AS appoints Daníel Jakobsson as new CEO

The Board of Directors has appointed Mr. Daníel Jakobsson as the new Chief Executive Officer of Arctic Fish, effective 1 May 2025.

Mr. Jakobsson joined Arctic Fish in 2021 as Chief Business Development Officer. He brings deep insight into the company’s operations and strategic direction, along with the leadership qualities and industry expertise needed to guide Arctic Fish into its next phase of growth and success.

Daníel has extensive knowledge of all aspects of our business and will be based in Ísafjörður.”

The company’s current CEO, Mr Stein Ove Tveiten, will continue as an advisor until 1 June 2025 to ensure a smooth and seamless transition.


Arctic Fish in brief

Arctic Fish (AFISH) is a leading salmon farmer in Iceland with an attractive and sustainable value chain from smolt to sales. The production capacity for the company is 29,800 tons MAB (Maximum Allowed Biomass) and includes licenses covering 10 farming areas in 5 different fjords, all located in the Westfjords of Iceland. The company's value chain consists of a state-of-the-art RAS hatching and smolt production facility, attractive sea sites with high bearing capacity and high-energy equipment, and a newly completed harvesting facility with sufficient capacity to secure the utilization of the licenses and growth objectives for the company.
