Successful production of the second full scale validation batch of Woulgan® Biogel completed

Biotec BetaGlucans is pleased to confirm that the second full scale
validation batch of Woulgan® Biogel has been successfully completed by
the contract manufacturer Sanochemia Pharmazeutika AG in Austria.
Sanochemia Pharmazeutika has been chosen as a contract manufacturer for
Woulgan® Biogel.
The third and final validation batch is scheduled to be released later
in Q2. The Woulgan® Biogel from this final validation batch is planned
to be used in the market evaluation study outlined in the co-operation
with Smith & Nephew when the CE-certificate for the product has been
obtained.

About Biotec BetaGlucans and Woulgan® Biogel
Biotec BetaGlucans AS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Biotec Pharmacon
ASA. Biotec BataGlucans AS is developing and manufacturing new
immunomodulatory products. Its novel Woulgan® Biogel for wound treatment
contains the company's proprietary compound SBG® (Soluble Beta Glucan),
