Atea migrates over 7,000 workstations to Windows 7 for Kela in Finland
(Finland) Kela, the Social Insurance Institution of
Finland, has chosen Atea as its Windows 7 migration
partner. During the migration, all workstations -
over 7,000 - will be replaced with new ones. In
addition to the migration, Atea will take care of the
lifecycle services related to the maintenance,
service and support of the workstations. The
agreement has an estimated total value of MEUR 7.8
(MNOK 63.8) and is signed for 4 years, with optional
2 years.
Kela arranged a competitive bidding on the
replacement of workstation where Atea's offer met the
criteria best. Atea provides Kela with a turnkey
delivery, with the workstations preinstalled at Atea
facilities and delivered ready for use to Kela
offices. Atea will also take care of recycling of old
workstations, and provides Kela with lifecycle
services for 4-6 years.
The migration project starts in Q4 2010 and is
expected to last approximately 16 weeks.
