Atea and the municipality of Aarhus sign agreement on streamlining 11,000 PC workplaces
Atea has entered into a four-year agreement with the
second largest municipality in Denmark with an
estimated total value over the period of MDKK 70
(MNOK 75).
The agreement will focus on service and operation of
11,000 PC workplaces in the municipality of Aarhus,
and the agreement will streamline and secure the
technological platform for the next four years. Key
employees of the municipality of Aarhus will get more
time to relevant assignments closer to the citizens
as a consequence of the agreement.
The agreement will include all the newest
technologies such as Microsoft Windows 7-platform,
virtual applications and streaming. Moreover, the
agreement will include a larger Altiris installation,
Asset Management, second-line support, preparation,
installation, onsite support, Project Management and
Change Management. Moreover, the solution is
scalable, which means that the IT expense will adjust
to the number of PC workplaces in the organisation.
To solve an assignment of this size Atea draws on
experience from similar projects with SKAT (The
Danish Tax and Customs Administration) and BEC
(Bankernes EDB Central).
The agreement will have effect from today.
