17. SEGMENT AND GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION
Segments
Operating segments are defined as components of an entity for which separate financial information is available and that is regularly reviewed by the Chief Operating Decision Maker ("CODM") in deciding how to allocate resources to an individual segment and in assessing performance. The Company's CODM is its Chief Executive Officer. The Company has determined it operates in a single operating segment and has reportable segment as the CODM manages the Company's operations on a consolidated basis for purposes of making operating decisions, allocating resources, and evaluating financial performance. When evaluating the Company's financial performance, the CODM regularly reviews gross margin, selling and marketing expenses, general and administrative expenses, and research and development expenses, and the CODM makes decisions using this information on a global basis. Significant expenses evaluated by the CODM are each separately presented on the Company’s Consolidated Statements of Operations.
