Terje Arnesen appointed new Vice President in Bergen

Terje Arnesen, (48) is appointed new Vice President
in Bergen Group with responsibility for the division
Maritime Service. Arnesen is currently CEO of Bennex
Group. He will be joining the corporate management in
Bergen Group August 1st this year.

Terje Arnesen has over the past 25 years gained an
extensive experience from both offshore and maritime
management positions in Norway as well as abroad. For
the last three years he has been CEO of Bennex Group,
which has a strong position within subsea activities
for the oil and gas industry. Previously, Arnesen has
experience from various management positions at Rolls
Royce, including five years as Executive Vice
President of Rolls Royce Marine Services and five
years as Managing Director of Rolls-Royce Marine
activities in the Mediterranean area.

says.

The operating revenue for the division Maritime
Services in 2009 was NOK 326 million, out of a total
operating revenue of MOK 5,1 billion for Bergen
Group. The division consists of five companies that
all are well established in their markets. Four of
these companies are located in Western Norway. One
company has its main base in Kirkenes in Northern
Norway.

Bergen Group Maritime Service has a strong position
in the market for motor overhaul and ship repair. The
companies within the division have managed to
establish different framework agreements with both
Norwegian ship owners and with the Norwegian Navy
relating to maintenance and service. In addition, the
division has a well established position in Kirkenes
with over 20 years of experience in maritime work for
clients on both the Norwegian and the Russian sides
of the border.

Terje Arnesen is originally educated engineer, and
holds an MBA from studies in Norway and ESCP-EAP in
France. Arnesen is a resident of Bergen, with his
wife and two children.
