THIN - Share capital increase registered

Reference is made to the prior notice regarding a private placement in Thin Film
Electronics ASA ("Thinfilm") on 12 March 2012. Following receipt of payments,
the share capital increase has been registered in the Norwegian Register of
Business Enterprises. The new shares will be delivered to the VPS as soon as
practical.

Thinfilm's registered share capital is now NOK 36,280,099.46 divided into
329,819,086 ordinary shares each having a par value of NOK 0.11.
