Statoil's share saving plan allocates shares

In an extra share distribution on 25 February 2011, 1,405 bonus shares have been
distributed to employees related to the share saving plan for 2008.

Following this, the share saving plan has 5,469,581 shares.

This information is subject of the disclosure requirements pursuant to section
5-12 of the Norwegian Securities Trading Act.
