Fredrikstad, 19 April 2018 (OSE:EPR):
Group revenues for the first quarter of 2018 were NOK 1,199 million, up 8.1 per
cent from NOK 1,110 million in the equivalent period in 2017.
Easter fell in the first quarter this year, and the group performed strongly
during the period, consolidating its position as "champion of seasons" in
Norway. This contributed to a like-for-like growth of 5.3 per cent for the
quarter as a whole.
Adjusted net profit was NOK 9 million for the first quarter, up from NOK -1
million last year.
The group opened two new stores and took over four franchise stores during the
quarter.
- I am satisfied with our results in the first and smallest quarter of the year.
However, due to the timing of Easter, it is important to remember that you need
to look at both the first and the second quarter combined in order to assess our
relative performance
- As such, we look forward to presenting the spring and summer assortment to our
customers as we continue into the second quarter, says CEO Pål Wibe.
