IDEX Cardinal Touch Sensor in LG Stylus 2 Plus
On June 1, 2016 LG launched their Stylus 2 Plus. The handset featured IDEX's
touch fingerprint sensor Cardinal Q.
"We are very pleased to have our fingerprint sensor feature in a global LG
smartphone. IDEX is one of a few fingerprint sensor vendors designed into a
tier-1 mobile handset. This is a significant validation of the IDEX value
proposition," said Dr. Hemant Mardia, CEO of IDEX. "We are confident this will
pave the way for additional design wins with our competitive sensor product
portfolio in the coming quarters", he continued.
The Cardinal Q and the newly released Cardinal N silicon sensor products have
the smallest silicon footprints in the market for space challenged mobile
fingerprint sensing form factors. State of the art matching algorithm technology
exploits very small images to deliver quality biometric results.
