Quartal 2000 besser als erwartet Walldorf, 8. Januar 2001. Die SAP AG hat einer ersten Analyse der vorläufigen Geschäftszahlen zufolge einen Gesamtumsatz von rund 2,1 Mrd. EUR im 4. Quartal 2000 erzielt. Dies entspricht einer Steigerung gegenüber dem Vorjahresquartal von circa 27%. Der Umsatz mit Softwarelizenzen im 4. Quartal 2000 stieg um ungefähr 25% auf gut 1 Mrd. EUR. Der Operating Profit (ohne Berücksichtigung der Kosten für das Mitarbeiterbonusprogramm STAR) legte voraussichtlich um mehr als 40% auf gut 600 Mio. EUR zu. Das sehr gute Ergebnis im 4. Quartal 2000, insbesondere vor dem Hintergrund des extrem starken 4. Quartals 1999, liegt über den ursprünglichen Erwartungen der SAP. Januar 2001 veröffentlichen. *** ENGLISH VERSION *** SAP Announces Stronger Than Expected Fourth Quarter Performance Walldorf, Germany – January 8, 2001 — SAP AG (NYSE: SAP), the leading provider of e-business software solutions, today announced that an initial analysis of its preliminary results shows total revenue for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2000 of approximately EUR 2.1 billion, representing an increase of about 27% over last year’s fourth quarter. Total sales growth in the quarter was underscored by strong software license sales, which rose by approximately 25% to slightly above EUR 1 billion. Operating income before charges for the employee stock appreciation rights program (STAR) increased by more than 40% to just above EUR 600 million. This very good performance exceeded SAP’s initial expectations, particularly against the backdrop of last year’s strong fourth quarter results.
