SEVAN - Purchase of shares

Jan Terje Tønnessen has today purchased 10,000 shares in Sevan Marine at
NOK 7.51 per share.

The transaction was executed on Oslo Børs. Jan Terje Tønnessen is
common-law spouse of Jorunn Haugen, who is a Director (Employee
representative of the Board) of Sevan Marine ASA.
Following this transaction, Jan Terje Tønnessen owns 31,600 shares in
Sevan Marine ASA. Jorunn Haugen does not directly or indirectly own any
shares in Sevan Marine ASA. Jorunn Haugen holds 25,000 stock options
issued under Sevan's stock option programme for employees.
