Multiconsult contract award with the Norwegian Public Roads Administration
Region West (Statens vegvesen Region vest) for the bus lane from Diagonalen in
Stavanger to Hans-Grete trail in Sandnes, Norway. Statens vegvesen Region vest
has selected Multiconsult Norge AS to provide engineering design for
construction plan, preparation of competition and final documentation, as well
as follow-up in the construction phase of the bus lane.
The value of the contract is NOK 23 million to Multiconsult. Work will begin
immediately and the majority is planned to be completed within first half of
2019, followed by the construction phase.
The Diagonalen - Hans-Grete trail is part of the development of bus route
systems in northern part of the Jæren region in Norway. Total length of the
entire bus route is 50 km, making it one of Europe's longest bus routes. The bus
route is included in the National Transportation Plan 2014-2023.
The contract award is subject to standstill period, which expires on 16 January
2018.
