Multiconsult's (Oslo: MULTI) fully owned subsidiary LINK Arkitektur AB and
Arkitema AB has been awarded a contract for the next phase of the architectural
assignment of new emergency hospital in Växjö in Sweden. The contract is with
construction company Skanska Sverige AB on behalf of Region Kronoberg.
The new emergency hospital will replace the existing hospital in Växjö. The new
emergency hospital will be an efficient and patient-safe hospital that secures
future care development, new care needs and new working methods and will be able
to meet future care needs in Kronoberg. LINK Arkitektur AB and Arkitema AB has
been a part of this project since the early start, and we are now entering into
the main part of the planning. In total, this new building will cover
approximately 135 000 square meters and has a total budget of approximately SEK
7.90 billion (NOK 7.67 billion).
The work on this phase of the project will commence immediately and work will
continue for approximately a year, the estimated contract value to Link
Arkitektur is between SEK 100-125 million (NOK 97-121 million). The emergency
hospital is expected to be completed in year 2029.
