Odfjell to construct new terminal facility in Charleston, South Carolina
Odfjell Holdings (US) Inc has concluded a contract for land in North Charleston
to construct tank terminal facilities creating 12-20 jobs.
The new tank terminal site in Charleston will consist of 40 tanks with excellent
deep draft marine, rail and truck accessibility. -This will be a great
supplement to our existing terminal in Houston and our worldwide tank terminal
network. When combined with our shipping network the new facility will provide
additional distribution options for our customers delivering more efficiency to
their supply chains, says Dave Ellis, President Odfjell Terminals (Houston).
The construction of the tank terminal will start in January 2011, and will be
operational early 2013. Fully developed the investment will be about USD 37
million.
