The renewal date January 1st is of importance for Protector’s volume growth, therefore we issue a volume statement to the market.
Gross written premium (GWP) in 2018 amounted to MNOK 4,800, a growth of 15% (both in NOK and local currencies) compared to 2017. GWP in Q4 2018 amounted to MNOK 567, a growth of 5% compared to Q4 2017.
Protector has decided to exit the change of ownership insurance (COI) market re. stock exchange announcement dated December 18, 2018. This means that COI in the P&L as of Q4 2018 will be presented separately as discontinued business. The result of the discontinued business is presented as a net result. Comparable figures will be revised.
GWP (ex. COI) totaled MNOK 4,286 in 2018 corresponding to 19% growth in NOK and 18% growth in local currencies. In Q4, GWP ex. COI amounted to MNOK 475 corresponding to growth of 12%.
The company's growth estimate for 2019 (exclusive COI)is 14%, well helped by significant price increases.
Further information will be given on February 1st in connection with the presentation of preliminary annual results.
