RANA: Potential production halt due to strike

Mo i Rana, 18 April 2023: Following the breach in mediation between The Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO), the Confederation of the Vocational Unions (YS) and the Norwegian Labor Union (LO), a strike took effect from Monday 17 April. An escalation of the labour dispute has been announced from Friday 21 April 2023, involving employees at Rana Gruber ASA organised in “Fellesforbundet”, “FLT” and “Handel og Kontor”. Unless the parties in the ongoing labour dispute reach an agreement in the meantime, all production at Rana Gruber will be paused.

Production will be directly impacted for the duration of the strike. The impact on shipments and sales is mitigated by inventory.

At this point, Rana Gruber does not disclose estimates of the economic impacts of the strike.
