NEW CONTRACTS FOR SCANA WITHIN MARINE

Scana Industrier ASA has through its subsidiary Scana Volda AS has been awarded
a contract from Man Diesel SE in Germany, for delivery of 4 reduction gears for
two 8000 cbm TSH Dredgers (Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger). The vessels will be
built at Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard in China and the delivery will take place
during the first and second quarter of 2011.
Scana Volda has also been awarded a contract for delivery of a gear, propellers
and remote control system for a fishing vessel for the shipowner Lyng AS.
Delivery will take place during the second quarter of 2010.
The aggregated contract value is approximately 15 MNOK (1.9 mill EUR). Scana has
also entered into several new contracts for service and repairs of propulsion
systems that increase the activity level further.
The marine and ships building markets will be challenging until 2011 due to a
low number of new orders. Scana has intensified sales and marketing efforts
towards yards and ship owners in the commercial, offshore and fishing sectors.
These contracts indicate a certain positive trend in the market.
