Scana has through its subsidiary Scana Steel Stavanger AS won contracts for 60
mill NOK by existing and new customers within the marine and energy market
segments:

- A strategic contract to supply high alloy materials for use in
exceptionally sour condition oil wells. Scana Steel Stavanger commenced test
deliveries for such high-alloy products earlier this year. Scana's materials
will be sourced through a down-hole product manufacturer for international
operations. The initial value is estimated at 28 MNOK. The contract has options
for further deliveries.

- Additional contracts have been awarded by customers in Scandinavia and
northern Europe, adding up 32 MNOK, mainly for mooring systems' applications.
Customers have chosen Scana due to its high quality standards and excellent
product performance.

CEO in Scana Industrier ASA, mr Rolf Roverud, is very pleased with these
contracts; -This is a breakthrough for Scana within the down-hole application
area and is the result of a highly successful R&D programme. The increased order
intake is important to Scana Steel Stavanger as the market remains difficult.
Further improvement in operations' excellence is required to maintain
competitive power, profitability and employment.

Since 2008 Scana Steel Stavanger has been affected by the financial crisis and a
lower demand for the company's forged and cast steel products. Management and
staff jointly implemented a series of powerful measures to adapt cost level to
production, incl. salary reductions and redundancies of staff. At the same time,
the company's commitment to sales was intensified and production has been made
more efficient.

The market conditions and demand are still volatile. However, these contract
awards proves that the company's has a reinforced competitive position when the
market returns to better form.

Scana Steel Stavanger was founded in 1910 and is located at Jørpeland outside
Stavanger, Norway. The company's basic production is forged or cast details in
high alloy steel qualities and different degrees of completion.
