Scana steel for safer roads

Scana Industrier ASA has through its subsidiary, Scana Steel Stavanger AS,
renewed the framework agreement with Mesta for the delivery of wear-resistant
steel for road maintenance. The agreement is valid for 3 years and has an
estimated value of approximately 30 million NOK.

Renewal of the framework agreement with Mesta confirms Scana Steel Stavanger's
position as a quality supplier and market leader within wear-resistant steel for
road maintenance in Norway.

Scana Steel Stavanger AS aims to use its experience from demanding Norwegian
conditions to strengthen its position in other countries. As part of this, the
company is now expanding its international network of distributors.

Through the firm Combi Wear Parts in Sweden, Scana's road maintenance products
will be marketed and sold in Sweden and in Combi Wear Parts' international
network of distributors. Combi Wear Parts is currently Sweden's leading producer
of wear-resistant goods for mining and construction machines, but a substantial
share of its sales are also within export.

IKH in Finland has been selected as the distributor in Finland. IKH is a
national chain that sells tools and equipment within agriculture and
construction. IKH will market and distribute Scana's products in more than 100
sales outlets in Finland and Estonia.

The equipment manufacturer in Austria, Kalbacher, will use road maintenance
products from Scana from the season 2010-2011. It is mainly the patented system
Joma 6000 that will be used on machinery manufactured by Kalbacher.
