Statt Torsk AS increases production

Stad, 29. November 2021 – Statt Torsk AS (STATT)

Statt Torsk increases the production at the company's site Rekvika by 340,000 fingerlings in 2021.

A total of 1,19 mill fingerlings has been put to sea in 2021, 230,000 in March, 620,000 in July and now another 340,000. This is expected to produce a harvested volume in 2023 of around 5,000 tonnes, an increase of about 1.200 tons from our plan presented earlier. The expected harvest volume in 2022 is unchanged at 3,000 tonnes WFE.

Leif Ronny Rætta, COO of Statt Torsk comments: "We are pleased of the delivery of further 340,000 fingerlings. This will extend our sales period and harvest volume in 2023. We have good experience of and development on the fish we set out this summer. The extra fingerlings put to sea now are from the same group and generation that we set out earlier this year. Rekvika is a perfect location for cod farming and we see the fish thriving."

Rekvika was installed this summer. A new feed barge owned by Statt is currently installed, replaceing a rented barge that has been used till now.
