Purchase of own shares

TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (TGS) purchased 25
000 own shares on 05 December 2013. The shares were
purchased at an average price of NOK 148,247 per
share. This repurchase of shares is conducted in
accordance with the rules and regulations of the Oslo
Stock Exchange for time-scheduled repurchases of
shares (cfr Børssirkulære 2/2008) and the proxy given
by its shareholders at the Ordinary General Meeting
held on 4 June 2013. The repurchase of up to USD 5
million of TGS shares will be conducted up to 31
December 2013 at the latest.

After the transaction TGS holds 1 396 200 own shares,
representing 1,35% of the outstanding number of
shares.
