Veidekke awarded contract for rehabilitation of tenement building at Stureplan in the centre of Stockholm
SEB Trygg Liv has awarded Veidekke Entreprenad AB the contract for remodelling
and construction at Sperlingens Backe no. 30 in Stockholm. The value of the
contract is SEK 126 million.
The contract comprises the rehabilitation of offices and retail premises and the
remodelling of 13 flats to a modern standard, while retaining many of the
original details and qualities. The flats will be given a better location in the
building, and many will have a view of the Humlegården Park.
The contract also comprises extensive rehabilitation of the façades. They are to
be reverted to how they were before the building was renovated in the 1960s,
thus restoring the building's original architecture.
Work starts immediately and will continue until May 2012.
