Veidekke has been awarded the contract to erect a nine storey, environmentally
-certified office building in Trondheim city centre. The client is Entra ASA,
and the largest tenant will be the Tax Administration. This is a turnkey
construction contract valued at NOK 223 million, excluding VAT.
The building will be certified in accordance with the BREEAM-NOR Excellent
environmental standard with A energy labelling. The project will have a central
location in Holtermanns veg close to the Lerkendal stadium. The office building
will comprise 11,500 m2across nine floors and a basement.
The façades will be anodised aluminium, with large glass surfaces on the ground
and first floors facing a courtyard on ground level with opportunities for
outdoor dining. The ground floor will have a staff restaurant, coffee bar and
customer service point for visitors to the Tax Administration. The basement will
have a large number of parking spaces for bicycles with a bicycle wash and
changing facilities.
The office floors will be functional, flexible and efficient with a modern
expression and robust materials. Future-oriented technical solutions, ample
ceiling heights and rational load-bearing structures will allow the building to
adapt to its users. The Tax Administration will be the main tenant in the
building, and will occupy the lower five floors.
"We're looking forward to welcoming the Tax Administration's employees to the
new building in the axis of knowledge at Elgeseter in Trondheim. The planning
and construction of the new building in Holtermannsveg is a major project for
Entra and important for developments in this city district," says Director of
Project Development Per Ola Ulseth of Entra.
"We would like to thank Entra for the confidence they have shown in us and for
the contract. Developing and building future-oriented environmental buildings is
something we really appreciate doing. Veidekke and the Tax Administration also
have a countrywide agreement where we cooperate in the struggle against crime in
the building and construction industry. This makes it all the more fitting that
the Tax Administration will occupy the building," says District Manager Ståle
Brovold of Veidekke.
Construction has already started, and the building is scheduled for completion
in January 2020.
