Veidekke ASA: To build new head office for SKF

Veidekke's subsidiary Billström Riemer Andersson Bygg AB has signed a contract
to build SKF's new head office in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The new head office will be located in SKF's central warehouse in the
Gamlestaden area of Gothenburg, thus remaining within SKF's "cradle". Adapting
the company's old central warehouse building to SKF's current needs and ways of
working will involve extensive reconstruction of approx. 16,000 square metres.

"We have considered various alternatives but reusing and rebuilding the former
central warehouse is clearly the most advantageous, as we will be utilising
currently vacant premises, creating new conditions for work across business
boundaries and stimulating efficient collaboration and communication. In
addition, the building will become more area and energy efficient," says
Christian Johansson, CFO and SVP of SKF.

A sustainable work environment with LEED Gold

The building will provide bright and open spaces for meetings, collaboration and
project activities, as well as places to work individually without disruptions.
The reconstruction will be completed in accordance with the LEED level Gold
sustainability classification, with solutions that reduce energy consumption and
aim to increase the well-being of people working in or visiting the building.
SKF's new head office will be ready for occupancy in the summer of 2020.

The SKF Group, based in Gothenburg, Sweden, is a leading global supplier of
products, solutions and services within bearings, seals, mechatronics,
lubrication systems and services. The company has approx. 45,000 employees.
