Veidekke: Building sports arena in Bergen

Veidekke has been commissioned to build the multi-purpose facility Bjarg Arena
in Fana in Bergen. The assignment for the Bjarg Sports Club is a turnkey
contract worth NOK 116 million excl. VAT.

"We are very grateful to have won the competition to build the arena, which will
mean so much to the quality of life of so many people, not least children and
young people in the district. We are very grateful for the assignment and look
forward to seeing the facility in full operation in just over a year," says
district manager Thor Småbrekke in Veidekke Bygg Bergen.

Bjarg Arena will be approximately 5,000 m2 and will be universally designed. It
will be adapted for, among other things, handball, basketball, football,
gymnastics, martial arts, athletics, badminton, dance, fitness, yoga and
strength training. When completed, the sports facility will include a handball
hall with 230 spectator seats, a basketball hall, an activity hall, a gym,
running tracks in the basement and a football room in addition to locker rooms,
club rooms and a cafeteria.

Construction work will begin immediately with completion planned around the
start of school in the fall of 2026.

The contract is included in Veidekke's order book for Q3 2025.
