secunet obtains a 4.7 million Euro order from a federal authority
secunet Security Networks AG has obtained an order to the amount of 4.7 million
Euro from a German federal authority. The term of this project extends to the
end of the year 2003, until then a uniform flow of payment is to be expected.
Subject matter of the order is the safeguarding of the communication between the
numerous branches of the authority based on the secure inter-network
architecture named SINA.
Apart from the sheer size of the contract, it is of particular importance that
secunet has thus received a further large-scale order regarding the solution
line SINA. SINA is a secunet development by order of the German federal office
for IT-security (BSI). The central component of SINA recently achieved the
preliminary BSI accreditation to be suitable for information up to the
classification CONFIDENTIAL. As a result, SINA is the only Internet-based
solution which can be utilised by German public authorities for the transmission
and processing of sensitive data of this security grading.
secunet will publish preliminary results for the financial year 2001 on February
28, 2002.
