[Essen, 22 December 2010] secunet Security Networks AG, Essen, is expected
to close the fourth quarter of 2010 with a very good result. The company's
Management Board is now projecting revenue of around EUR 20 million and
EBIT of just over EUR 3 million for the fourth quarter of 2010. This would
slightly exceed the previous full-year forecast made by the provider of
sophisticated IT security solutions and IT security partner of the Federal
Republic of Germany: the company now expects to post revenue in excess of
EUR 58 million, compared with its earlier forecast of EUR 57 million. The
jump in fourth-quarter revenue will also result in a much higher full-year
EBIT than previously forecast: this is now expected to top EUR 3 million,
compared with the Management Board's previous forecast of over EUR 2
million. Q4 is traditionally secunet's strongest quarter both in terms of
revenue and EBIT. The sharp rise in EBIT is attributable to high capacity
utilisation and a large share of revenue from licensing. The sale of a
major licence had a disproportionate impact on licensing revenue.
secunet will publish its preliminary figures for the 2010 financial year on
26 January 2011.
