SFC Energy AG: Preliminary 2013 results in-line with guidance
* Total revenues of EUR 32.4m; underlying EBITDA of EUR minus 2.2m

Brunnthal/Munich, February 04, 2014 - SFC Energy AG, a leading provider of
decentralised energy solutions, today announced preliminary, unaudited
results for the 2013 fiscal year.
SFC Energy recorded revenues of EUR 32.4m in 2013 which were in-line with
the reduced guidance Management gave in October. On the earnings side, SFC
Energy generated underlying EBITDA of EUR minus 2.2m (2012: EUR 0.8m),
ahead of October guidance of EUR minus 2.5m to EUR minus 3.0m. The decrease
over previous year was due to lower revenues, especially in the high margin
defence fuel cell business.
The Company's underlying EBIT was EUR minus 4.2m (2012: EUR minus 1.0m).
This excludes a number of one-off items, including restructuring, goodwill
amortisation and acquisition costs as well as the effects from the IFRS
treatment of Simark's purchase price and the purchase price allocation.
Outlook
SFC Energy entered 2014 with good order visibility especially in the North
American oil and gas market. Management believes that, with this solid
foundation, the Company can deliver, this year, total revenues of between
EUR 55-60m, with a positive underlying EBITDA.
