Dividend announcement
The Annual Shareholders' Meeting on January 28, 2014 resolved that the
unappropriated net income of Siemens AG for the fiscal year ended September 30,
2013 amounting to EUR2,643,000,000.00 shall be used to pay a dividend of EUR3.00 on
each share of no par value entitled to receive a dividend. The amount attributable
to the treasury stock held by the Company on the date of the Annual Shareholders'
Meeting will be carried forward.
The dividend will be paid from January 29, 2014 onward, in general after deduction
of 25% withholding tax and a 5.5% solidarity surcharge on the withholding tax
(totaling 26.375%).
Payment of the dividend will be effected by the depository banks via Clearstream
Banking AG.
The Double Taxation Treaty between the United Kingdom and the Federal Republic of
Germany provides for the payment of dividends to qualifying U.K. residents at a
reduced total withholding tax rate of 15%, including the solidarity surcharge. To
claim a refund, shareholders must submit an application (available at
http://www.bzst.de/EN/Steuern_International/Kapitalertragsteuerentlastung/Auslaen
dische_Antragsteller/Formulare/KapSt_Ausl_Formulare_node.html) at the latest by
December 31, 2018 to: Bundeszentralamt für Steuern, D-53221 Bonn, Germany.
