DM im 1. Halbjahr 2000. Die SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES AG verzeichnet im laufenden Geschäftsjahr 2000 eine weltweit stürmische Nachfrage nach DVD und CD/CD-ROM-Produktionsanlagen. Dadurch stieg der Umsatz allein im 1. Halbjahr 2000 auf 308 Mio. DM (ungeprüft);das ist das Zweieinhalbfache des vergleichbaren Vorjahreszeitraumes. Der Einzug in das neu errichtete Werk in Kahl wurde in den vergangenen Wochen gleitend vollzogen und bis Ende Juni erfolgreich abgeschlossen, ohne daß nennenswerte Unterbrechungen in Produktion und Maschinenauslieferungen entstanden sind. Der nach wie vor unverändert hohe Auftragsbestand berechtigt dabei zu der Erwartung, daß die bisherige Umsatzprognose von 600 Mio. DM für das Gesamtjahr 2000 wohl noch deutlich übertroffen werden wird. Die Veröffentlichung der konsolidierten Halbjahreszahlen erfolgt zum 28. Juli 2000. Gleichzeitig wird bei dieser Gelegenheit auch eine erhöhte Planung bis zum Ende des laufenden Geschäftsjahres bekanntgegeben werden können. SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES AG continues to experience rapid growth, first-half revenues reach DM 308 Million SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES AG experienced extraordinarily high worldwide demand for its DVD and CD/CD-ROM-manufacturing systems over the first half of the current fiscal year that boosted its (unaudited) revenues for the half to DM 308 million, two and one-half times that reported for the first half of the preceding fiscal year. The company completed its move into its new plant at Kahl, Germany, without a hitch within a matter of weeks and was back operating at full capacity by the end of June, with no interruptions in manufacturing operations or deliveries of equipment to customers worthy of mention. Its current high backlog leads it to believe that revenues for fiscal year 2000 will exceed the currently forecast DM 600 million by a large margin. SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES AG’s consolidated financial statements for the first half of the current fiscal year will be released on 28 July, 2000, at which time it will be in a position to release a revised forecast of its revenues and earnings through the close of the fiscal year.
