The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES confirms increase for revenues and profit for 2002 For the second quarter of 2002, SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES is again pleased to announce a major increase in revenues, order intake and order backlog compared to preceding quarters and the previous year. Preliminary figures show revenues of 55 and order intake of 90 million Euro, respectively, vs. 53.1 and 59.9 million Euro for 2001, and an order backlog of 115 million Euro as of June 30, 2002. Already the largest company in the industry, SINGULUS continues to expand its market leadership position for DVD replication lines. Sales of 50 DVD lines have been booked so far this financial year, with an order backlog of over 100 additional lines for prerecorded DVD and several significant orders for DVD-R lines in the growing market for recordable DVD. Indicators for further development within the DVD area are extremely positive. Singulus expects sales of over 160 DVD lines in 2002, representing an approximate 65% share of the world-wide DVD market. SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES expects that all systems in the order backlog will become revenue during the business year 2002. Because of this positive business development, the management strongly predicts a minimum increase of 20% in revenues and profits over last year. 07-12-2002 For additional information, please contact: Bernhard Krause, SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES AG Tel.: +49(0)170-9202924 oder +49 (0) 6181-9828020 end of ad-hoc-announcement (c)DGAP 12.07.2002 ——————————————————————————– WKN: 723 890; ISIN: DE0007238909; Index: NEMAX 50 Listed: Neuer Markt in Frankfurt; Freiverkehr in Berlin, Bremen, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Hannover, München und Stuttgart 120740 Jul 02
