Kahl am Main, February 14, 2007 - According to preliminary figures the
SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES Group (SINGULUS) achieved sales in the amount of
about € 280 million in 2006 (previous year: € 244.4 million). Therefore,
SINGULUS realized sales above the sales forecast announced in November
2006. At € 318 million the order intake for the full year 2006 was 28 %
higher, significantly above the € 249 million achieved in 2005. The order
intake of € 46 million in the 4th quarter 2006 was below previous year’s
level (€ 70.5 million), whereas the 4th quarter 2005 included a large order
of more than € 20 million. The order backlog amounted by 33 % to € 81
million as of December 31, 2006 (previous year: € 61 million).

In addition, the company confirmed its expectation to generate a positive
EBIT in 2006 (previous year: € 2.1 million). 'For the first time our
diversification strategy contributed to the results. This trend will become
even stronger in 2007', said Stefan A. Baustert, CEO of the SINGULUS
TECHNOLOGIES AG.

Integration HamaTech AG

The acquisition of the HamaTech AG has been nearly concluded. This
consolidation of the sector is important for the future success of
SINGULUS. With the acquisition SINGULUS laid the foundation for a
technologic and market leadership in all optical disc formats. This will
also have a positive impact in the course of the launch of the upcoming
once-recordable Blu-ray / HD DVD for the recording of high-resolution
television programs (HDTV). Currently, SINGULUS holds about 89 % of the
shares in the HamaTech AG in total.

The relocation of HamaTech's activities in the Recordable segments to Kahl
will be completed by SINGULUS in the next couple of weeks. Following the
sale of 51 % of the shares in the Slovakian subsidiary in Nové Mesto for €
1.9 million as of October 1, 2006 and the disposal of the STEAG ETA-Optik
GmbH, Heinsberg to the Swedish AudioDev AB for € 3.25 million, the
optimization of the portfolio progresses as planned.

Outlook

The future growth of the new disc formats HD DVD and Blu-ray, the
opportunities in the new business areas Nano-Deposition Technologies,
Optical and Decorative Coatings as well as a clear strategy to expand the
activities will lay the foundation for an overall positive corporate
development at SINGULUS.

SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES is the only equipment producer in the world offering the entire value-added chain for the manufacturing of optical disc: The machines range from mastering and injection molding to replication lines. With the set-up of a very deep value-added chain in the past couple of years, SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES was successful in expanding the product range for its customers. Thus, the position of SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES in the optical disc sector remains unique in the world. It is our declared goal to include the new formats HD DVD and Blu-ray disc in this structure as well. Due to the acquisition of STEAG HamaTech in January 2006, SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES is also excellently positioned worldwide for machines of once-recordable formats. SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES still views the market for equipment for the production of optical disc as a core activity. This segment will also continue to safeguard the cash flow of the company in the future and will be further developed technologically. In addition, new business areas are intended to contribute to sales and earnings in the future.
