Expertise in Injection Molding Systems to be concentrated within SINGULUS
MOLDING
Kahl am Main, November 26, 2007 – SINGULUS TECHNOLOGIES (SINGULUS) has
decided to concentrate its expertise in the manufacturing of injection
molding machinery at SINGULUS MOLDING in Schaffhausen, Switzerland.
In order to achieve further productivity improvements in the production of
injection molding machines, SINGULUS has taken the decision to close the
Würselen facility, near Aachen, with effect from December 31, 2007. The
EMOULD injection molding machines currently built at Würselen will in
future be manufactured by SINGULUS MOLDING AG in Schaffhausen.
Service and deliveries of parts for this type of machine will then be
handled by SINGULUS in Kahl. Service and parts activities are already
consolidated there. The closure affects 40 employees in total. This measure
will further reduce costs within the group and boost profitability in the
area of complete optical disc production lines.
