Dr. Erik Ehrentraut Elected New Chairman of SMA Supervisory Board

Niestetal, February 11, 2015-At the meeting on February 11, 2015, Dr. Erik Ehrentraut was elected the new Chairman of the Supervisory Board of SMA Solar Technology AG (SMA/FWB: S92). This appointment was due to the death of Dr.-Ing. h. c. Günther Cramer in January 2015, who had held the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board since 2011.

Dr. Erik Ehrentraut served on the Managing Board of Flachglas AG from 1987 to 2000, and was its Chairman from 1991. At the same time, he held the position of Chairman of the Managing Board at Pilkington Deutschland GmbH from 1991 to 2000. Additionally, Dr. Erik Ehrentraut was Chairman of the Managing Board at FLABEG GmbH from 2000 to 2002. He had already chaired the Supervisory Board of SMA Solar Technology AG from 2004 until Günther Cramer was elected Chairman of the Supervisory Board in 2011. Kim Fausing, COO of Danfoss A/S, succeeds him as Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

The SMA Supervisory Board, which represents shareholders and employees equally, consists of Roland Bent, Peter Drews, Dr. Erik Ehrentraut (Chairman), Kim Fausing (Deputy Chairman), Dr. Winfried Hoffmann and Reiner Wettlaufer on the shareholder side. The employees are represented by Oliver Dietzel, Dr. Günther Häckl, Johannes Häde, Heike Haigis, Joachim Schlosser and Mirko Zeidler.
