Für den Inhalt der Mitteilung ist allein der Emittent verantwortlich. —————————————————————————— Der Softing-Konzern hat nach vorläufigen Berechnungen im Geschäftsjahr 2000 einen Umsatz von mindestens 36 Mio. DM bei einem leicht negativen EBIT erzielt. Im Softing-Konzern wurde ein Jahresüberschuß von gut 1 Mio. DM erwirtschaftet. Dies entspricht im wesentlichen den bereits im 4. Quartal kommunizierten Erwartungen für das Jahr 2000. Für das Jahr 2001 plant das Unternehmen einen Umsatzanstieg von 24% auf 44,7 Mio. DM. Ein ausgeglichenes EBIT ensteht durch im Vergleich zur früheren Planung deutlich erhöhte Investitionen in ein neues internes ERP-System, eine gemeinsame Vertriebsstruktur für den Bereich Industrial Communication und 4Control sowie in den Ausbau der Auslandsniederlassungen, insbesondere in den USA. Als weiteren Schritt der konsequenten Internationalisierung wurde in Großbritannien bereits im Herbst ein Consultant- Büro eröffnet, das den Vertrieb für Softing vor Ort unterstützt und ausbaut. Die Entwicklung auf dem Markt für industrielle Steuerungssysteme hat Softing veranlaßt, die strategische Ausrichtung auf das Marktsegment 4Control im Jahr 2001 noch konsequenter voranzutreiben, da dieses Geschäftsfeld die stärksten Wachstumsaussichten beinhaltet. Dies steht vor dem Hintergrund des in den Vorjahren erarbeiteten erheblichen Technologievorsprungs. Mit dem Produkt 4CONTROL besitzt Softing nicht nur die Technologieführerschaft, sondern entwickelt sich derzeit vom Hersteller und Lieferanten von Automatisierungskomponenten zum globalen Keyplayer von Automatisierungstechnik für Internet-basierten PC- und Embedded Controller-Systemen. Für das Jahr 2002 plant Softing einen Umsatz von 57 Mio. DM und ein EBIT von 3,9 Mio. DM. According to provisional estimates, the Softing group has achieved a sales volume of at least 36 million DM with a slightly negative EBIT in the business year 2000. Softing has attained an annual net profit of more than million DM; this corresponds essentially with the expectations for 2000 which were already communicated in the last quarter of the year. For 2001, the company plans an increase in turnover of 24% to 44.7 million DM. A balanced EBIT will be the result of much higher investments than was originally planned: for a new internal ERP system, a common sales department for the areas Industrial Communication and 4Control and for the expansion of foreign subsidiaries, especially in the United States. As another building block of systematic internationalization, a consultant office in Great Britain was established already in the fall and will support and expand local Softing sales. The development in the market for industrial control systems has induced Softing to promote strategic focussing on the market segment 4Control even more strongly in 2001 since this field has the largest growth potential. The background for this decision is the substantial lead in technology which Softing has attained in the previous years. With its product 4CONTROL, Softing not only has assumed technology leadership, but currently also grows from a manufacturer and supplier of automation components to a global key player in automation technology for Internet- based PC and Embedded Controller systems.
