Die Software AG, größter europäischer Anbieter von Systemsoftware, hat nach Konsolidierung der vorläufigen Geschäftszahlen des Jahres 1999 einen Umsatzanstieg gegenüber Vorjahr um ca. 14 Prozent auf rund 713 Millionen DM erzielt. Das Ergebnis vor Steuern wuchs im gleichen Zeitraum um etwa 48 Prozent gegenüber Vorjahr auf ca. 129 Millionen DM. Die Umsatzrendite vor Steuern betrug ca. 18 Prozent (14 Prozent in 1998). Damit wurden die vom Unternehmen zu Anfang des Jahres 1999 gesetzten Ziele hinsichtlich Umsatz und Ergebnis übertroffen. Das Finanzergebnis ist das beste in der Firmengeschichte. Der Geschäftsverlauf des 4. Quartals 1999 zeigt eine ähnliche Entwicklung wie das Gesamtjahr: der Umsatz stieg auf ca. 209 Millionen DM und liegt damit um ca. 14 Prozent über der Vergleichszahl des Vorjahres. Das Ergebnis vor Steuern wurde um etwa 48 Prozent gegenüber Vorjahr auf rund 43 Millionen DM gesteigert. Weitere Einzelheiten zum Jahresergebnis wird das Unternehmen am 18. On the basis of the consolidated preliminary financial data the company has increased revenue to approximately 713 million DM, up 14 percent from previous year. Profit before tax has grown 48 percent year on year to approximately 129 million DM. The pre tax margin has improved to 18 percent (14 percent in 1998). The fourth quarter 1999 results show a similar trend: revenue has grown some 14 percent year on year to approximately 209 million DM. Profit before tax has increased about 48 percent year on year to approximately 43 million DM. With these preliminary results, Software AG has exceeded the targets which it had announced at the beginning of 1999. The reported profit is the highest in the history of the company.
