USD Die Software AG, Darmstadt und SAGA Systems, Inc., Reston, Virginia, USA, haben heute angekündigt, dass die Software AG alle ausstehenden Aktien der SAGA zu einem Preis von 11,50 USD je Aktie durch ein Barangebot übernehmen will. Der Wert der gesamten Transaktion beläuft sich auf ca. 360 Millionen USD. SAGA vertreibt und wartet die Produkte der Software AG in Nord- und Südamerika, Japan und Israel. Ein weiteres Geschäftsfeld der SAGA ist die Anwendungsintegration. Hier lizensiert SAGA ihr eigenes Produkt SAGAVista und bietet Dienstleistungen rund um dieses Produkt an. SAGA hat ihren Sitz in Reston, Virginia, USA, und beschäftigt knapp 800 Mitarbeiter. Im Zeitraum von Oktober 1999 bis September 2000 erwirtschaftete SAGA einen Umsatz von 196 Mio. USD.
