Volker Dawedeit (54), member of the management board of Software AG responsible
for finance and administration, has informed the supervisory board of Software
AG about his intention to resign at the end of the company’s annual
shareholders’ meeting to be held on April 30, 2002. In today’s meeting, the
supervisory board accepted Mr Dawedeit’s request with great regret and due
respect .
At the same time the supervisory board has appointed Arnd Zinnhardt (40) as new
chief financial officer effective May 1, 2002. Mr. Zinnhardt holds a university
degree in business administration and has worked as auditor with Ernst & Young
for some ten years. 1998 he became a partner of BDO Deutsche Warentreuhand AG
and is currently managing director of their Frankfurt/Main office.
