The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Splendid signs licence agreement with Kirch – Film package of 22 titles licensed for initial exploitation in Pay TV and Free TV – Sales volume of EUR 23.3 million for 2001 and 2002 (Cologne/lsmaning – 30 August 2001) – Splendid Film GmbH of Cologne has concluded a licence agreement with KirchMedia GmbH & Co. KGaA of Ismaning for a package consisting of 22 films from the Splendid library. The total volume of this transaction amounts to EUR 23.3 million. In addition to such top titles as “Traffic” starring Michael Douglas and “Gangs of New York” with Leonardo DiCaprio, the package includes titles which have not been shown in the cinema. KirchMedia will receive licence rights for a limited period of time for Pay TV and Free TV for the entire package of films for the German-speaking regions. In the second half of 2001, Splendid will already be able to book revenues from this agreement. Additional revenues from the licence agreement will come into effect in the 2002 financial year. The titles “Dr. T & The Women” with Richard Gere, “Who am I” with Jackie Chan and “Cutaway” with Tom Berenger and Steven Baldwin are amongst the first of the films to be supplied to KirchMedia.
