Malisa Scott appointed as new member of the Supervisory Board of Splendid Medien AG

(Cologne – 26.11.2013) – The media executive Malisa Scott has been appointed as a new member of the Supervisory Board of Splendid Medien.

Following her studies in the USA and the UK, Malisa Scott was employed in product marketing at Disney in Los Angeles, then at Sony Pictures (formerly Columbia Pictures). In her function as Managing Director of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, she was responsible for the major’s home entertainment business in Germany, Austria and Switzerland for more than 15 years. She then became a partner and COO at Tandem Communications Film Production, which produced the successful international Emmy award-winning series ‘The Pillars of the Earth’. Ms. Scott has been a freelance consultant since early 2012.

In accordance with section 104 of the German Stock Corporation Act (AktG), the appointment of Ms. Scott to the Supervisory Board was conducted by the Cologne District Court in response to an application by the Managing Board because Manuel Obermayer, who had been a member of the Supervisory Board for a number of years, stepped down from the Supervisory Board due to his appointment to a position in a company outside of Europe and it was necessary to ensure that the Supervisory Board had three members in order for it to legitimately pass resolutions.

In addition to Malisa Scott, the members of the Supervisory Board of Splendid Medien AG are Dr. Ralph Drouven, lawyer (Chairman) and Bernd Kucera, auditor/tax consultant (Deputy Chairman).
