BBC Worldwide and polyband continue successful partnership

(Munich/Cologne – 11.5.2015) – BBC Worldwide and the Splendid subsidiary Polyband Medien GmbH (polyband) have once again affirmed the strong partnership they have had since 2000.

The two partners will continue their good cooperation for another five years. As part of a new “first look output” deal, all titles from the current and new BBC Worldwide portfolio will be furthermore offered first to polyband for release on DVD and Blu-ray in the German-speaking market. Over the course of the long and successful cooperation thus far, numerous joint projects have been realized, in particular top titles such as PLANET EARTH, SHERLOCK, LITTLE BRITAIN, and DOCTOR WHO.

Swetlana Winkel, CEO of polyband, looks ahead confidently at the future projects: “I am very pleased that our many years of successful cooperation with the BBC will continue.
