Halbjahr 2000 Umsatz und Ertrag stärker als geplant Die im SMAX notierte Bad Vilbeler STADA Arzneimittel AG veröffentlicht heute das Halbjahresergebnis. Umsatz und Ertrag konnten stärker als geplant gesteigert werden. STADA erzielte im 1.Halbjahr im Konzern einen Umsatz von 461,9 Mio DM. Dies bedeutet einen Umsatzzuwachs von +39%. Der organische Umsatzzuwachs ohne Akquisitionen betrug +29%. Wiederum zeigten zahlreiche nationale und internationale Tochtergesellschaften Wachstumsraten weit über denen des jeweiligen Marktes. Der deutlich über den ursprünglichen Erwartungen liegende Umsatzzuwachs erlaubte es, das Jahresziel für den Konzernumsatz auf ca. 870 Mio DM (Wachstum über +25% gegenüber Vorjahr) zu erhöhen. Für 2001 wird der Sprung über die Umsatzmilliarde erwartet. Auch der Ertrag im Konzern konnte weit stärker als geplant gesteigert werden. Die Ertragskennzahl EBITDA (Ergebnis vor Zinsen , Steuern und Abschreibung) wuchs im 1. Halbjahr auf 49,7 Mio DM und der Halbjahresüberschuß auf 19,2 Mio DM. Vor Abzug der außerordentlichen Aufwendungen für die Kapitalmaßnahmen im 2.Quartal (mit über 270 Millionen DM Mittelzufluß durch Kapitalerhöhung und Optionsanleihe) in Höhe von 6,9 Mio DM errechnen sich sogar ein EBITDA von 56,5 Mio DM (+42% gg. Vorjahr) und mit Berücksichtigung der deutschen Steuerquote ein Halbjahresüberschuß von 23,0 Mio DM (+48% gg. Vorjahr). Zum herausragenden Wachstum des Jahresüberschusses hat dabei die von 45% auf 38% gesunkene Ertragssteuerquote im Konzern beigetragen. STADA ist sicher, den EBITDA im laufenden Geschäftsjahr prozentual deutlich zweistellig steigern zu können. STADA Arzneimittel AG exceeds sales and earnings targets in the 1st half of 2000 STADA Arzneimittel AG, based in Bad Vilbel near Frankfurt, today published its half-year results. The company which is listed on the SMAX has managed to increase sales and earnings stronger than planned. In the first half-year, STADA achieved consolidated sales of DM 461.9 million, an increase of +39% over the same period in 1999. Excluding acquisitions, sales grew by +29%. Once again, numerous national and international subsidiaries recorded growth rates well in excess of the respective markets. Thanks to the significantly better than expected growth in sales, STADA has been able to raise its annual target for consolidated sales, to around DM 870 million (growth of +25% compared to the previous year), and expects to cross the DM 1 billion sales mark in 2001. Consolidated earnings also far exceeded targets. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) grew to DM 49.7 million in the 1st half-year and half-year net income rose to DM 19.2 million. Before deduction of extraordinary expenses of DM 6.9 million incurred in connection with the capital measures in the 2nd quarter (more than DM 270 million in funds obtained from the capital increase and warrant issue), the EBITDA figure is as high as DM 56.5 million (+42% compared to the same period in previous year) and, taking into account the German tax rate, the half-year net income figure rises to DM 23.0 million (+48% compared to the same period in the previous year). The income tax ratio within the group, which fell from 45% to 38%, played its part in the outstanding growth in net income for the year. STADA is certain of being able to increase EBITDA by a comfortable, double-digit percentage margin in the current fiscal year.
