STADA sales companies achieve very good results in fourth
Bad Vilbel, August 1, 2011 – The STADA sales companies STADApharm GmbH and ALIUD PHARMA GmbH achieved, in the view of the STADA Executive Board, very good results in the fourth round of tenders of the Deutsche Angestellte Krankenkasse (DAK) (German insurance organization for salaried employees) for discount agreements pursuant to Section 130 a SGB V valid throughout Germany. The DAK, which insures approx. 6.5 million of the total of approx. 70 million publicly insured persons in Germany, thus concluded respective contracts with these two STADA sales companies, each for ten active ingredients from a total of 33 active ingredients – including some product launches and in-house production. The contracts are legally effective, start on October 1, 2011 and have a regular term of two years. In the case of the discount agreements organized on a multi-source basis, the respective STADA sales company is one of three contractual partners of the DAK. In view of these newly concluded discount agreements with the DAK and the large-volume awards previously received from the AOK, STADA’s Executive Board expects that the Group’s market share by volume in the German market will increase further. Overall, STADA now has discount agreements with almost all public health insurance organizations in the German market.
