Südzucker with sound business development
Mannheim, 20 September 2010
Südzucker AG Mannheim/Ochsenfurt, Mannheim, raised group revenues within
the first half year (1 March 2010 to 31 August 2010) of current
financial year 2010/11 by around 5 percent from 2,935 million Euro to 3,068
million Euro. Group operating profit increased by around 103 million Euro
or 57 percent from 179 to 282 million Euro. All segments contributed to
this earnings improvement.
For total financial year 2010/11 Südzucker now expects a slight increase of
group revenues to around 5.8 (previous year: 5.7) billion Euro and a hike
of group operating profit to a level of more than 450 (previous year: 403)
million Euro. The boost in earnings will be driven predominantly by the
segments sugar and CropEnergies.
The full interim report for the first half year 2010/11 will be published
on 14 October 2010.
