Dezember 1999 hat der Aufsichtsrat der technotrans AG John Andrew Stacey (45) zum dritten Vorstandsmitglied bestellt. Stacey ist Geschäftsführer der englischen Tochtergesellschaft technotrans graphics ltd. seit deren Gründung 1990. Unter seiner Führung entstand in Colchester der zweitgrößte Produktionsstandort der technotrans- Gruppe. Am erfolgreichen Ausbau der internationalen Präsenz von technotrans in den vergangenen Jahren hat Stacey maßgeblichen Anteil. Der Aufsichtsrat hat mit der heutigen Entscheidung eine gute Basis für das weitere Wachstum geschaffen und dabei die steigende Bedeutung der Internationalität von technotrans unterstrichen. Die Entwicklung seit der Umwandlung in eine Aktiengesellschaft vor zwei Jahren verdeutlicht dies: so stieg der Umsatz um 60 Prozent, die Anzahl der Mitarbeiter verdoppelte sich nahezu und die Tochtergesellschaften in Amerika, England, Frankreich und China wurden ergänzt durch Neugründungen in Singapur und Italien. In Staceys Vorstandsressort wird zunächst die Zuständigkeit für die internationalen Tochtergesellschaften und Akquisitionen im Ausland fallen, während Heinz Harling (45) als Vorstandvorsitzender die Bereiche Technik und Vertrieb leitet und Hilmar Welpelo (41) für Finanzen und Materialwirtschaft zuständig ist. “Wir freuen uns über die Berufung von John Stacey,” sagt Harling. “Unsere Zusammenarbeit ist seit vielen Jahren freundschaftlich und erfolgreich und wir werden das starke Wachstum von technotrans mit ihm gemeinsam fortsetzen.” The supervisory board has appointed a new member of the board of directors The supervisory board of technotrans AG has appointed John Andrew Stacey (45) as the third member of the board of directors on yesterday’s meeting. John Stacey has been the managing director of the British subsidiary technotrans graphics ltd. since it was founded in 1990. Under his leadership, Colchester has become the second largest production site of the technotrans group. He has also made a major contribution to the successful extension of the international presence of technotrans in the last few years. With today’s decision the supervisory board has built a solid base for further growth while at the same time it has stressed the international character of technotrans. This is also underlined by the development of the company since its conversion into a public limited company two years ago: the turnover has increased by 60 per cent, the number of employees nearly doubled and the subsidiaries in America, England, France and China were joined by newly founded companies in Singapore and Italy. John Stacey will be in charge of the international subsidiaries and acquisitions abroad while Heinz Harling (45) as chairman of the board is responsible for the technical and sales sector and Hilmar Welpelo (41) for the financial sector as well as for materials management. “We are very happy about the appointment of John Stacey”, says Heinz Harling. “Our collaboration has been marked by a friendly atmosphere between us all for many years and has lead to successful results.
