On May 6, 2015, the percentage holding of the voting rights of UBS AG,
Zurich, Switzerland, of BASF SE (ISIN DE000BASF111) fell below the
threshold of 3 % through disposal and amounts to 2.71 % on that day (this
corresponds to 24,845,104 voting rights out of a total of 918,478,694
voting rights). 2.15 % out of the voting rights (this corresponds to
19,723,401 voting rights) are held directly by UBS AG. 0.56 % out of the
voting rights (this corresponds to 5,121,703 voting rights) are to be
attributed to UBS AG pursuant to sec. 22 para. 1 sentence 1 No. 1 WpHG.
