A fax from TUI addressed to its sales partners on June 1st, 2005 reads as follows on the subject: “We (TUI), together with Commerzbank, have promptly conducted negotiations with VISA International in order to effect an immediate termination of this cooperation. Together with our TUI Card contractual partner Commerzbank, we succeeded to stop the planned marketing campaign with Travel24.com ahead of its implementation.” Talks between Visa Europe Ltd. and Travel24.com AG are currently taking place in order to clarify the circumstances. Further, legal proceedings are being evaluated.
